Longshawe

Is anybody familiar with Longshawe Gardenia Talc? London's Bathecary is offering the 350g container for $3.97. That's even cheaper than Clubman. I wonder about the quality.

No responses....looks like I'll have to take one for the team. What the heck, who doesn't like the smell of gardenias?

If I knew what gardenias were, I might like them.

I guess the Great White North™ frost-resistant gardenia hasn't come out yet. :(

Gee whillikers, that's a lot of help.

All I kmow is that the gardenia produces the richest scent in the garden. It was named after a horticulturist named Mr. Garden. No kidding.

Gardenia? A....no...too fem. for me Porter. You know how I feel about that sort of thing. But, what the hell?...let us know if you actually try the stuff.

Gordon, it's not the femininity that I worry about, but the quality of the fragrance. If it's cloying and long-lasting, into the trash it will go. For $3.97 that's no great loss.

Porter, For $3.97 "cloying and long lasting" is a pretty good bet I suspect. Still, one never knows.

Looks like we'll never know if you're right, Gordon. Shoplondon's is sold out.

I remember that in the talc threads it was suggested that inexpensive but decent talcs can often be found in the Indo-Pak stores. There are several in my neck of the woods that I need to investigate.

Porter, By all means, check them out. I've had no luck with that sort of thing here in Tampa, but in some other cities members have. Excellent Yardley talcs for a fraction of what we normally pay for example.
