Next time you buy, try Finesse, maybe you can get in a travel size. Shampoo & conditioner in same bottle. Should be available in drug/grocery store.

I would think that Head and Shoulders would dry out anyone's scalp. I would start by finding a gentler shampoo.

Try a shampoo with lanolin.
