Married Up

Married Up

Post by sgtrecon212 »

Ok, let's face it, some (or most) of us fellas have married up. I have, that's for sure. I'm a pretty decent Joe, but my wife is so high speed.

How about you guys?

I have heard of high maintenance, but high speed is a new one on me.

My wife's family is great. She is the baby. She is a much better person - she oozes sweetness and no one says anything bad about her. A little dynamo (5 feet tall, 88 lbs or so, blue eyes, blond hair, size 0 petite, and ready to kick butt, lol).

Referring to another thread Steve, I married a good earner. She's got two more years to go for her Phd. I'll hang in there for as long as it takes for my investment to pay off!

Heh, my girl is doing the exact opposite. She has a degree already, now she's just waiting for her slacker guy (me) to get his Computer Science degree. ;) I hope she waits for me!

We're in the same boat Rob. Mine wants me to go back to school after she's done. I'll do it eventually.

I've got 22 years in. Too long to get retrained, so I am keeping my wife, as long as she will have me. How come, on anniversary day, she gets the gift? Is it not my anniversary too? LOL

I made a deal with my wife a number of years ago. I said that i'd try to work hard for the first 20 years.(well, sort of hard) if she worked hard for the next 20 yrs. Problem is we're into our third 20 and haven't figured out how to handle the allocation of time. So.......until I get this sorted out, she continues working while I sort out the problem while getting lots of rest :D

I know what that feels like. 27 years of crushing lonliness makes me cherish every moment with my great woman. Honestly, for me, it's been worth the involuntary wait. I hope it ends up that way for you, too.
