I remember that time you told me you said
"Love is touching souls"
Surely you touched mine
'Cause part of you pours out of me
In these lines from time to time
Oh, you're in my blood like holy wine
You taste so bitter and so sweet

Oh I could drink a case of you darling
And I would still be on my feet
I would still be on my feet
Dianna Krall does a wonderful live version of this on her Live in Paris CD/DVD. Great lyrics - great song.

Thanks for these. I believe I might like to look through your record collection/iPod playlist sometime.

Tom Waits is already a favorite, but thanks to you and, subsequently, Google, I may have a couple more.

Regards,
Glad you like them, Tim. I've always thought it a sin that Thin White Rope never became more popular--"Sack Full of Silver" and "The Ruby Sea" are masterpieces of guitar feedback.

A little more to pique your interest:

Seems I've been a clown more than a friend
A clockwork response to the tokens you spend
And when you stop, and when I run down
I'm frozen and cannot escape from the clown.

All the best.
John.

I'll think of something clever eventually.
