RAZORS and GUNS
RAZORS and GUNS
I was thinking about going to the gun show this weekend - never been to one. Made me think, what do YOU shoot?

Nice selection! I'm a dyed in the wool 1911 shooter and have been for damn near fifty years, but the M&P is very tempting. S&W really did their homework on this one. I'd have to have it in .45 though.

David.... I can speak for the M&P 9mm... Shoots accurately, reliably, and smoothly. Felt recoil is almost nil. Probably my best shooter.
Also, check the M&P Forum, S&W sometimes offers freebies, and those guys are up to date on most of them. I got a really nice range bag, and they offer free mags sometimes.

I've been looking at a few different options lately but haven't narrowed it down.
At work:
FN M240 7.62mm machine gun
GE/Dillon Aero GAU-17/GAU-2B minigun (like an M134 but dual rate of fire)
M-14 7.62mm
M4 Carbine 5.56mm
12GA pump shotgun
M11 9mm
a few other things.
At home:
MAC-11 9mm
SKS 7.62
No 5.Mk 2 SMLE (.303)
Elsewhere:
Savage .30-'06 bolt action
Access to: lots of other stuff.
Have quite a few things in mind I would like to have; shotguns and sidearms come to mind (haven't narrowed the list enough yet) as well as small carbines. I have often thought of buying one of the Beretta CX4 Storm carbines for my father. It was not possible whilst stationed in California (the thumbhole stock makes it somehow deadlier than other carbines) but is now. He has an M1 carbine he likes to shoot but as he is a lefty, the brass hits him in the head sometimes, to the point he manufactured a brass deflector for it. The CX4 is easily switchable from a right hand to a left hand shooter configuration.
I could go on. I could be dangerous at a gun show if I had money. I remember when M1 C and D sniper variants of Garand rifles were next to impossible to find-went a week ago to a gun show and saw shelves and shelves of them.
