I have had better days.

Post by teabag »

Today has been a glorious sunny spring day and after perusing this site for a while this morning/early afternoon switched my computer off to watch the day's big match.
I got myself a nice cold Belgian beer at 11% and settled down to watch the match, F.A. Cup semi final between Manchester United and Everton, kick off 4pm. 3:55pm uninvited relations arrive and totally disrupt my peaceful sporting afternoon in front of the box. Kids running around yapping like terriers. They couldn't have gone to the beach a further kilometre from our house or called earlier or later in the day, no they have to be a pain and annoy me at the wrong time of the day.
Now I have just dropped and smashed my MWF bowl that I only got about 3 weeks ago. I knew I shouldn't have got out of bed this morning.
Has anyone got a shotgun I can borrow?
On a more positive note at least my team won today (and no, it isn't Everton).

Regards,

Phil.

Phil, you have my condolences  Look at it this way, now you'll be able to purchase even more when going back for a new bowl.

Teabag,
I don't have a replacement Mitchell ceramic bowl for you, but if you want I can send you a Kent wooden bowl complete with a cake of their soap in it (lightly used). As you will know, it is SheepSoap™ in wolf's clothing, or some such complicated metaphor.

Call your guests at 3 a.m. and ask them whether they enjoyed their visit.

Thanks for the offer Chris,
I have put it in one of those pate ceramic dishes. I will make sure I dry my hands thoroughly before picking my soaps up in future and pay more attention to grasping it instead of thinking I have done so.

P.S. Don't tell Wendell!!

And to make matters worse -- United went and lost to Everton -- that, coupled with a smashed MWF dish will be enough to wreck anyone's day, imo.

I think there are quite a few people who watched that match who might claim that screaming kids running around the house would have been a bit more entertaining

The dish - now that's another matter. Bad news.

I'm a broke grad student with no shame. If you wanna send the MWF my way so I can actually try MWF...

A shame about the ceramic dish. Those things aren't cheap, that's for sure.
