What are you reading?
I am not really a fan of fiction. Probably for the same reason that I am not a fan of movies. For me, it is merely entertainment and a waste of time.
So I read books that are educational and informational and sometimes I will mix in an inspirational book.
At the moment, I am reading Leo Babuta's latest book called Focus. Title pretty much covers what it is about.
When I complete it (most likely tonight)...I will finish Pete Wilson's book Plan B
Also on my list to read is Rework by Jason Fried.

Currently reading:
"Voltaire's Calligrapher" by Pablo de Santis. Pretty cool little story, eloquent language.
"Extreme Tech Weather Toys: Building and Hacking your own 1-Wire weather station" by Tim Bitson.
"The Black Dudley Murder" by Margery Allingham -- a Albert Campion mystery. Nice, classic british mystery novel.

Haven't read Wheel of Time but heard that Sanderson is doing a great job of it. There was several of Jordan's books there that were pretty bad. Lots of hair pulling and skirt smoothing from what I understand. I am interested in reading his Mistborn series and his new Stormlight series.ZethLent wrote:Towers of Midnight
Only one more to go... and then it ends.

Finished Jane Austin's Emma a couple of weeks ago, and have moved to my traditional Christmas list. Currently I am reading Winter Solstice by Rosamund Pilcher. The other 3 Christmas readings which will be done before the 25th are A Christmas Carol and The Life of Our Lord - both by Charles Dickens, as well as Luke 2 on Christmas Eve.

"Titanic" was a good read, written well before Dr. Ballard discovered the real deal. It was later made into an absolutely rotten movie with miscasting galore. The book Pitt was too perfect, even for an action hero. Cussler's strong suit as author wasn't in giving "life" to his characters, just a lot of hectic and harrowing movement.
Fleming's characters are certainly more memorable.
