Disturbing News :(

Post by stagger »

Went to the doctor for a checkup last week. EKG came back abnormal. So, I went to the cardiologist this past Wednesday where they ran another EKG. Doc came in and after examining me said," I don't mean to scare you, but you've already had at least one heart attack." Said my blood pressure was a bit high ( 142/88 ), prescribed BP meds and scheduled me for an echocardiogram and a nuclear stress test for April 20. I'm walking on egg shells now, and me and my wife both are quite worried. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Mark

Disturbing indeed. Again, Tonyespo's presence would be useful since I think he has had similar issues. At any rate, you are certainly in a better position now than two weeks ago. Take care of yourself.

Wishing you all the best Marc! There´s a huge plus in the fact that you now have this info. It might be disturbing but whatever the reason they will treat you for it and / or monitor you, which is far better than not knowing...

Mark, you're in my prayers. Two points are strongly in your favor, first, now that you know about it, you can take steps to make things better. And second, they do amazing things these days. You'll undoubtedly see some changes taking place in your daily routines, and those changes will probably all be to your benefit. I wish you all the best. Take care.

Mark-

I unknowingly had a very mild heart attack 4 years ago. As a followup I have a stent in one of my coronary arteries.

With modest exercise and some diet modification, my health is excellent and unrestricted.

All my best.

MaxP

I wish you the best, Mark, and I'll send prayers your way.

I recently went through a heart attack scare, myself, and all of the associated testing. Fortunately, I hadn't had one. A coworker of mine did, however, soon thereafter. The symptoms of a heart attack are often very similar to those of indigestion, so it is hard to know for certain what is actually happening to you.

Take care -

- Murray
