You could see that coming a mile away. What a waste.

Yep. It was only a matter of time. Sad indeed.

+2

Another individual with great potentially musically, but who simply couldn't exercise her demons.

She joins the long list of artists in the so-called 27 Club.

I could only think what a pity when I heard the news. Such talent gone so quickly. Live fast, die young, leave a pretty corpse did not apply, she was definitely on her own highway to hell.

On a more positive note, give Adele Adkins a listen, some critics say she is Amy's successor.

give Adele Adkins a listen,
not sure if its only me and i have issues, but when I listen to music lately i am quite enthralled but then if i see the video of it or similar it either turns me off completely or spoils the song somewhat

Thanks for posting the link. I always wondered what the significance of 27 was.

It's not just you, Clive. :? While I appreciate a well-made video as much as the next guy, the ones which seem to have nothing to do with the song (why is that guy knocking down dozens of candelabras with his guitar?) make me wonder just what it is I'm missing.

Offhand, I can't think of any video which has enhanced my understanding of the song it features. OK, maybe "Thriller", but I think I had a handle on the song before I saw the video. Usually, I'm better off not having the video confuse things for me.

i take it that you have not seen this video then?!

it took my understanding of the song to a whole new level. probably one of the best music videos i have ever seen and looks like it only cost $25 to make:

Wow! I'll bet I haven't heard that song in 20 years...! I guess from the perspective that the video depicts an always-fully-clothed singer who seems to be enjoying himself, it emphasizes the lyrics of the song.

I'm talking about stuff like this. Almost 30 years after the video was made and I still don't have a clue what the video has to do with the song. :?

I almost never watch music videos. Music is a strictly aural experience.

A couple of videos that really help explain themselves, and the eighties:

(Oh and RIP Amy)

Watching a music video would be an irretrievable loss of my time.

Perhaps but that literal translation of the Pat Benatar video was quite funny.

I thought both were pretty funny. But I do have to admit that it was time wasted.

Not a waste of time for me. Most fun I've had around hear in a long time.

Clever and funny. Thanks for posting, Dominic.

Still laughing,

HA...I feel the same way about watching a movie.
