Well since I was airborne, airborne and airmobile figure prominently in my favs. I just identify more with air deliverable units.

Scottish Fight for Independence: Braveheart
You didn't ask, but my all time favorite war series (WW2 historical story type, not purely historical) is Band of Brothers. For historical WW2 series I can't pick between World at War and Victory at Sea.
Edit: I forgot 12:00 High and Objective Burma.

Nothing better than the house to oneself and a good old war movie on to enjoy. The better half was out of town when Band of Brothers came out on DVD, I bought the set and for the next two evenings I had the place to myself and watched the entire series.
So many favorites in the gendre hard to list but let's just say I have seen and like many.

Basically, all of the above, but I'll add the Military Channel.
I work with a guy that recently joined the Army Reserve. One day he told me he had a twinge of regret and wished he had joined the Naval Reserve so he could do what I did when I was in the Navy. I was a gunner on PBR's in the Mekong and used a mini gun and M60 extensively. We specialized in the insertion and extraction of SEAL Teams. I looked at him and said "Are you fuc.... nuts?!!"
