(I realize many of you already have celebrated.) The turkey is ready for the fryer, and the oyster casserole is ready for the oven.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends here. I try to be thankful every day...but today is special.

You now have my permission to eat your weight in turkey, ham, and dressing.

That's what I plan to do...a little later on today. :)
Regards,
Jason

It's been a great day with one side of the family, on to the next on Saturday. I'm certainly grateful for the little community we've got here. Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow US members and best regards to those outside of the U S of A.

Doesn't the 4-day-weekend depend on what sector you work in?

Happy Thanksgiving to all you fine lads.

And yes Wendell, this is the first year in quite a while that I went from a no day weekend to a four day weekend.

We went to a vegetarian Chinese restaurant with my daughter-in-law, a vegan, and her husband for dinner yesterday. I was just thankful there was peanut sauce noodles on the menu as an alternative to their faux turkey.

A somewhat 'after the fact' post but I just returned home after a four day Thanksgiving mini-vacation over in Boca Raton with my wife's family and it was one of the very best Thanksgivings I can remember...really, really nice from start to finish. Hope all of yours was equally swell!

Late to the party, too, but this was our first Thanksgiving after the return to Texas, with all the in-laws close at hand.

Work break was from Wednesday to today, for some reason they decided to close the office Wednesday, so I had 5 days to refresh and recharge. Great times with the family, we are so thrilled to be back in Texas.

Hope all my friends at SMF had a great holiday!!
