good sipping whiskey?

Feel free to post anything unrelated to wet shaving or men's grooming (I.e. cars, watches, pens, leather goods. You know, the finer things of life).

Haven't heard of it. Is it sold in the US? Never mind, Razor, I'll google it. Thanks for the suggestion.

And…I'm back. This stuff must easily give CC and Crown Royal strong competition. Or would if it weren't so $$$. Clearly it's out of my league. :(

If you like that lighter style though Gibson's 12 year old is widely available and costs considerably less.

I am currently sipping Kavalon single malt whisky that I picked up in Taiwan last week. Who would have thought that Taiwan not only makes whisky but that it would be so darn good!

Thanks for the recommendation. I about the closest I've gotten to that geographically is Yamakazi 18 by Suntory, which is an excellent single malt. I grab a bottle whenever it appears at my stockist, which is rather rare. They usually have the 12 year old, which is not bad either.

I've always enjoyed gentelman Jack, as a sipping Whiskey but its a TN. Now a Single Malt i haven't found one i couldn't enjoy.

as for the earlier post about having a good cigar with your whiskey i've never found anything a good cigar didn't enhance the enjoyment of.

Pipe works well also, particularly with a smoky malt.

For me, with either a cigar, or more likely a pipe filled with a light aromatic, any good
Bourbon or a TN really worked.
The experience was even better if it happened out on the deck on a cool day, with our
late Australian Cattle Dog curled up on the bench with me. He was always willing to
tolerate my mutterings and join me in solving the World's Great Problems... his main
contribution was the way he stared at me, totally absorbed in my every word, signaling
his utter and complete agreement with whatever drivel tumbled from my mouth.
Come to think of it, any drink, cigar or pipe tobacco chosen would work under those
circumstances!
Enjoying wet shaving, again.

My puppy is more sanguine, she just wants to run around until she gets bored then go inside and eat.

I sure do miss my old best friend. He got me through a lot of hard times. He's been gone for almost 30 years.

Yeah, we've had other dogs since then, he was my friend. :D

And the next dog I get, after I'm retired at some future date, will be the dog formerly called Jack Russell Terrier. His name will be Jack, and I'll be his friend too. :D

I have a 14 year old JRT named Sally. She is quite a character.
She is still full of energy.

You definitely have to have the right personality for one
of these dogs. I have a feeling that you do.

My 6-year-old Boykin spaniel is the only one I can count on to stick by me when I pull out the guitar and begin to play. She also calls shotgun whenever I go anywhere in my pickup.

Dogs have a way of training their
"owners".
