Metatarsal pads

Post by malocchio »

Pads or "lifts"....I want to buy a decent pair of dress shoes, and was wondering can you get away with using the metatarsal pads in the shoe, rather than the full padded orthotic with the built in pads?...I know everyones story is different, but if anyone has faced this problem I would enjoy hearing your thoughts.

I have issues with my 4th metatarsal on both feet. The orthotic that I had lifted the metatarsal up and lessened the impact.

I tried the pads. My problem was keeping them in place. Even though there is a slightly sticky surface on the backs...they would soon not stick and I would not be able to keep them where I placed them.
Regards,
Jason

I have heel problems (chronic achilles tendonitis), and at that end of the shoe sliding is an issue for me. I've come to rely on full-insole inserts that do well for me.
