He will be missed by many. What a memorable character. With great fondness I share this joke with all of you. I think Mr. Nimoy would approve:

Passing at 83, one might agree that he lived long-ish and I presume he was prosperous as well given his career in the entertainment industry -- even if his dabbling as a musician wasn't totally successful.

His twitter feed had some excellent quotables over the past few years --- ending always with LLAP ---- live long and prosper.

It isn't uncommon for an actor to be defined by a role but few have created such a memorable one.
