The "What are you reading?" thread is getting pretty full of replies, so how about the best book(s) you read in the last year. I would go with Dead Wake by Erik Larson or Tinseltown by William Mann.

"To Kil a Mockingbird". I started it the last week of December 2015 and finished it the first week of January 2016.

Hmm -- a tough one ..... so many good reads for me.
I'll say Peter Ackroyd's Foundation was top of the list in non-fiction. As for fiction, I am a sucker for 2 Rosamund Pilcher novels -- The Shell Seekers and Winter Solstice. I usually read them both each and every year.
I read Watership Down again after about 20 years since my last read, and that was pretty outstanding as well.
Sorry -- can't simply tie it down to one book.

The Last Gunfight: The Real Story of the Shootout at the O.K. Corral by Jeff Guinn
All three of these are non-fiction. Each required a great deal of research. Each was very enjoyable to read.
