I guess I am a little late contributing here, but back in my hunting days (ducks and geese in Western Washington and deer, elk, and pheasants in Eastern Washington) I wore Danner boots, a lighter weight pair that I waterproofed for the wet rainy days and a heavier insulated pair for snow. They were excellent, comfortable and resilient and dry.
