For a while it looked like Tiger Wood was going to be a winner again, about 10 years since his glory days. My favorites were Jordan Spieth and Tiger Wood, in addition to Rory McElroy. That having been said, congratulations to the gentleman from Italy. He fought hard and defeated some excellent professional golfers today, and that is an historic feat that only a select few can claim.

Glad to see that Francesco Molinari won The Open Championship. He was the best man of the tournament.

Round 3 on Saturday was ridiculously good conditions for an Open Championship, especially considering that Carnuste is considered by some to be the toughest links course in the world. It may not have the allure of St. Andrews but that course usually takes golfers captive for the tournament. Not dropping a shot the entire tournament shows how good Molinari's game was last week. Speith was too good on Saturday - and you figured that even with stars aligning, two in a row was going to be a tall order of the lad.

Good to see Woods as a fan favourite again as well. He still has the best looking swing in golf -- not to mention is also one of the best interviews after the round is done.

There is a change in the order of timing for the PGA next year, and this time 2019 we'll be done with all of golfing's majors. Bummer to squeeze them all in before the end of summer.

Yes, indeed! Didn't miss a shot, and he dominated the final round.
