Watches, watches, watches (caution: modem burner)

If they did one in white gold I might have to start selling my house.
start putting up "for sale" signs. I looked at the site...it's in Dutch so I can read it.
I'm pretty sure they'll do white gold if you ask them ;) They don't even list prices because in reality they mostly to custom work. Those watches are just
a few examples.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Amsterdam. We both loved the country so much that we considered relocating. I started to teach myself Dutch. It's a fine language.

You live in a beautiful country. I have seen better drivers, however.

And folks parking right on the edge of the street over the canals -- no guard rails in some locations!!! I wonder how many Smart Cars are resting in the canals below with the bikes tossed in by ignorant tourists.

Laager, very nice Milgauss. Very rare and desirable. I was actually searching for one a few years back. I will trade you a tub of Trumpers Violet for it.

I have just two watches but they're nice ones, I've had good luck with them.

Seek and ye may find, but delay not. Obtaining one with box, papers and original dial/hands has become almost impossible. I currently search for a black dialled one with all the trinkets to mate up with my silver one with all the trinkets.

One thing most not have had the opportunity to assess is size. They are not small:

hahaha, you'd be surprised how carefull an edge of water makes people park.
Also you'd have seen mostly amsterdam and surroundings I think? In that case I couldn't agree more with you about bad drivers....they're terrible over there....but still better than french, italian or spanish drivers in general though. Their idea of good parking is parking untill you hit something then go the other way untill you hit something.

I did see a lot of Amsterdam. Had I moved there, I probably would have settled in Diemen.

I've had a number of different watches, including Rolexes, Seikos, Breitlings, and Omegas, but I've sort of settled now on Luminox Atacama Field Chronographs, which just feel exactly right to me. So I thought I'd share an image of them.

I love my Luminox Titanium, especially how bright the markings are at night, and they don't need to charge in light. I looked at several high-end stainless watches before I settled on this model in titanium, which is much lighter than any of the stainless ones I looked at (Tag, Rolex, Breitling). I just wasn't sure I could get used to that much weight on my wrist.

That really interesting, Chris. I hadn't thought about people still making watches that way. I love the concept of them fabricating and decorating carefully one tiny part that will be installed under the dial and will never be seen again.

I recently acquired a Lum-Tec B18. It's a 43mm CuSn8 bronze watch with a black dial. The hotlinked photo isn't mine but the watch is the same model.
