Best Online Photography Storing and Sharing Site?

Post by Lyrt »

Ok, what is the best photography storing and sharing site, besides Flickr (now owned by Yahoo)? I have just tried Picasa, which is the property of Google, but I’m not completely satisfied with it. I have uploaded two albums here, but the photos often refuse to show up in Firefox, though I have no problem with either IE or Opera.

Grumble.

Yukio,
try www.fotki.com

I've been using it for years, and very happy with them.

Photobucket has done great for me so far.
It is nice and free.
Leisureguy told me about it last summer but I didn't use it until all my pictures disappeared from the upload thingy here on the forum.
Apparently there is a time limit on the upload host here.
I hope you can see pictures on my posts.
I only use Firefox also.

I've used smugmug.com before and its great. It allows you to upload and share your photos while at the same time allowing you to back up full resolution copies of your photos.

It's about $39.99 US/year although they provide you with unlimited storage.

I currently use protectmyphotos.com however it doesn't have a sharing feature. I switched to this one because I was more concerned with keeping backups of my photos. The neat thing about this service is that it automatically backs up your photos in and folder/drive you specify. You can also back up plenty of other formats like .doc .pdf etc.

This one is also $39.99 US/year however you can use the service to back up your photos for free and than when you need to retrieve any photos you might have lost then you can pay for the service :)

One of my friend is a Photographer Port Macquarie. he showed me his gallery. Oh! my God. I have never saw such amazing pictures. He clicked very dangerous lively shots. Appreciable work. You can check his gallery in his website.

I have a friend who is a professional aerial photographer NSW. Last month, I got opportunity to go on cruise and have underwater travel with him. He is absolutely incredible with his work.

I've used photobucket for years. It's free, works great and now even allows videos, all for free.

I recently started an account at another photo storage site, but if they're unused for 6 months they disappear. I can't remember the name. It's been more than 6 months and it has disappeared from my memory.
