Great video, as always Mark. Is the Moss scuttle that you have the large model? I am looking to upgrade my small to a large as my smaller brushes would definitely be able to lather inside it.

Warmest regards, Niksa

Mark,

Another formidable addition to the wetshaving oeuvre. The clips from Kelly's Heroes were a nice touch. That's one of my favourite movies. Your cinematic career path seems to be mirroring Martin Scorsese's, whose own illustrious career began with the wetshaving short The Big Shave. Maybe one day you could do a full length feature film called Wetshavers starring Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci.

Great video!!!
As always very informative.
By the way in Japan, many barbers use a mug like this one, with a hot water reservoir, to keep lather warm. This is I guess what you would call a shaving cream scuttle.

The scuttle is cool isn't it.
They go for 1680 yen in Japan, around $13.75 US.

The link for it is as follows:

I could probably pick some up if people were interested.

That's pretty neat, but I don't get it. Where does the water go?

Tim, if you are looking at the second of the 2 pictures, the water goes in on the upper left side. The right side is slightly elevated so it is completely surrounded by hot water. On the second of the two pictures you can also see part of a thumb. That is where the handle is, it is kind of like a coffee cup handle.

Hope this helps :)

Drake,

If people were interested, I could probably put together a package of a few and ship to the US or whatever destination, and then have a member split them up from there. I think it would save considerably on shipping.

Firstly, Mantic you are LEGEND!!! Your videos have been very informative. THANK YOU!!!

This Japanese item appears a bit small when compared to the regular latte cup. Has anyone tried whipping up some cream this item?

minderasr, I read one of your write up recommendations on the Rooney Shaving Brush, Style 3, Small, "Super Silvertip". It arrived this week from Classic Shaving. IT'S AWESOME!!!
