Some shaving equipment
Some shaving equipment
Hi,
As promised some pictures of my brushes; to start:
Three brothers in arms in the war against the whiskers:
Chubby #3 silvertip, CH#3 Manchurian and again CH#3 silvertip; notice the difference between 1 and 3, although they're the same silvertip quality.
Next:
The biggest Simpson, i.e. the Samson, in pure badger, vs the smallest, a vintage brush bought on Ebay: the Wee Scott, in best badger
Following:
The Simpsons Polo #14 Manchurian: a huge shaving brush with a rather flat crown; in fact too big for daily use; notice the fact that the gold label is intact; i varnished all the labels on my Simpsons brushes to protect this label; but i have to say, i seldomly use this brush, because it is simply too big to handle.
Next:
My three brushes in Extra Super and High Mountain White; for these three beauties one can buy a lot of shaving cream and soap
Next pictures speak for themselves:
The biggest brush and the smallest brush in the world i guess: Vulfix #38 and Simpsons Wee Scott
More pictures to come in the near future
Peter

Hallo Ron , goedenavond,( )....evening...
I know....sigh...only i can see them....; tried all day to find an EASY way to upload compressed pictures from my pc on the gallery and tried to find an EASY way to upload compressed pictures from another external website than msn right into this thread; anyhow, i did not find a way;
When i use Easy Graphic Converter to upload in the gallery i get a report that the "pixel allowance "is to high (or something like that) and by using www.2and2.net i can download pictures right into a thread but the pictures are enormous, too huge to put into a thread;
Chris Moss helped me a lot in the first place, but there MUST be an EASY way to compress and upload in the gallery or to upload right into a thread;
at least, i guess????
HELP!!

OK. Did you have to save it in the gallery first? I did try pasting a picture from the gallery and the menu had "paste" grayed out. I didn't try actually typing the URL because at my rate and accuracy it could take a real long time. If that's all you did, I admit to cutting my effort short.

Okay, placing in a thread without placing in the gallery first doesn'twork;
i mean, can't get a bigger picture in this way; but sooner or later i will be able to do this anyhow....
i will make a new thread with pictures and a description later this day; i made this thread into a mess; but i'm sure you will be salivating severely over your keyboard...
sorry for this all and my stumblin' around in cyber space...

neat photography trick!
Pardon me for asking, but is that a hardcover book you're using as a backdrop? I hadn't thought of that, but it's a very clever idea. I now wonder what books I have with decorative endpapers that I could use...drP wrote:
