Photo of your garden

A late afternoon shot—yesterday—of our modest work in progress: calliopsis, astilbe, and lavender:

Oh, the limitations of a second floor apartment. . .

But at least the tomatoes and peppers are going strong.

Taken early this morning. It's not easy to get indoors without brushing up against that fragrant lavender!

It's a bit neglected this year, but these are from the past few summers:

and last week the pet garden gnome was on the kitchen roof trimming the grape vines away from the skylights. Rather nosy little so and so:

Yesterday I came across the garden gnome again:

Both Leica MP, Tri-X at ISO1250, developed in Diafine and scanned with Nikon 9000. I like spending an afternoon that way!

Up to two years ago he used a Gillette Knack and a boar brush:

but then decided to grow ten inches of hair to donate to a charity that makes wigs for cancerous children. It's all been downhill since then:

A few words to your garden gnome from Darth Vader

Maybe there will be room for a Futur in the gnome's bathroom.

I had a gargoyle (I'm actually referring to the gargoyle, not the gnome - just to be clear) very similar to, if not identical to your's... that is until someone copped it! Yep, just wandered into my yard and absconded with it!

BTW - lovely garden and a very handsome gnome...
