Richard, Erasmic, as I said, is delightful cream, scentwise and latherwise. The soap sticks and soap in the bowls are just as beautiful, the scent is different, but wonderful.

Richard, Good to see that nice Kent brush back fully in the picture. I say, since you've clearly become very fond of that Feather straight, I assume that you'll be unloading those Stickys that are now gathering dust, eh?
Friday:
Gillette '58 TV Superspeed & English Wilkinson blade
Simpson Polo #8
Coate's Lime shave cream
D R Harris's shave stick
D R Harris's A/S Milk ( old version )
Trumper's Spanish Leather

Not so fast Gordon! I do enjoy my Feather straight, in fact I am finding myself preferring it... Alas, I think those Professional blades are taking their toll, I think I am getting some skin thinning on my chin. I have some Super-Professionals on the way to try them out. A soothing shave today with none other than the ultra-comforting lather of Kent to help speed along the recovery. A witch hazel (rose & lavender) spritz and a dab of Biotherm Active Shave Repair to moisturize and sooth.
Gordon, you are not alone, this week I was enjoying the Feather so much I was wondering about the future of the Wilkinson Razors. Nothing, absolutely nothing, cuts whiskers like those Feather Pros. You have to be gentle, but that's all is needed to mow down whiskers. Using a straight for the last week has improved my DE technique this morning. After a while I get sloppy with a DE and begin to use too much pressure. You can not possibly make those mistakes with a Feather. Keeps you sober, you know?
Richard
-EJ BB brush (good starter until I have some $$$ to throw around)
-CH Bay Rum+Orange glycerine soap
-Heirloom strop
-6/8 G. Butler inox curved spike-point
-Dominica Bay Rum
Every time I shave I can't get over how good the CH soaps are. Even though you don't get a huge amount of lather, it gives a great consistency and stays moist throughout the pass, which is more than I can say for that cake of Nomad I wasted $10 on.
I'm a big fan of alcoholic aftershaves. Usually I use OS, but this time DBR was a better match for the soap. Speaking of which, I should really try MB's OS knockoff lol.

Gentlemen these are the usual suspects. They have been know to operate in a gang that has been giving close shaves arround here for quite some time. Please look at these mug shots as you never know when they may be lurking in your shave den. The mastermind of the group is not pictured. He rarely goes out in public and is known by the following aliases: Shavemac, aka Silvertip, aka Best Freaking Brush, aka 23mm.
He has a bush complexion and a body as hard as olive wood so make sure you approach with respect.

Richard, Sooo.....I'm interpreting you to be suggesting that I shouldn't hold my breath waiting for your Stickys to appear in the 'Sales & Trades' section? Well, dang it!

I'm off to the ballpark. It's the final Pirates game of the season. They're playing the Reds, and it's somewhat meaningless because neither team will be in the playoffs. It would be nice not to finish in the basement, though, so they're playing for pride. We'll get 'em next year.

They are all quite good actually. The nod goes to the Romanian one on scent and the US one on shave quality. I have only shaved with the English one once, so the jury is still out.crackstar wrote:Richard, which one of the Palmolives do you prefer, between the American or European? I prefer the European, somehow.
