You know, rustyblade Richard, I just want to switch to a straight 'cause it looks so damn cool -- at least, it does through your lens, anyway.
It is cool, I am enjoying it very much. The Feather AC DX is becoming my daily shaver. Today was the first time I used a Feather Pro blade (i've been using injector blades). It went really well, no nicks or cuts, VERY smooth. I don't see what the hullabaloo is about these blades being deadly, but we'll see as the days go by and see if I get any skin thinning goin' on.

When I use a canned gel, I really work the lather thorougly, instead of just slapping it on ; that's why few people have bad shaves with canned gels : not working the product, super fast shaves...

Hello rafikz,

Quite true. If we spend some time massaging the cream, gel or foam into the beard, it sort of mimics brush bristles, but certainly not as luxurious as a brush as Richard in Canada pointed out.

Bottomline: Take your time shaving and your beard will thank you over and over again.

Good observation, Richard in Canada.

Cheers,

Richard in Texas

Thursday:

St-Ives Intensive Relief moisturizer
Pinaud Bay Rum aftershave

I should use this soap more often, it's a real treat, but it's so hard to get. :(

Thursday:
- Merkur HD w/Feather (day 6, I think)
- Ems Place citrus soap
- Truefitt & Hill Trafalgar cologne

Same as yesterday, and just as good. As I was explaining to my 4-y.o., "I have to concentrate when I shave because the blades is sharper than any of the kitchen knives -- whoops, see that red? That's blood." :7( Only one tiny nick, though.

Perhaps I'll convert to soap for a while, so when I go back to cream it'll seem like a revelation!

Thursday...
Late post but it has been a busy day.

Merkur Futur w/ Feather blade (set @ 5 then 2 for the atg pass).
Bic metal
Simpson PJ1 in best.
Honeybee Cedarwood Amber soap
SCS Bergamot and Rose Hydrosol
Floris #89 aftershave
Floris #89 edt (decant)

Perfect shave. First time using a Honeybee soap and I must say that this is a wonderful product. Beautiful lather and smells grrreat!
Will be melting the soaps into the plastic jars just to keep them from rattling during the lathering process.
The Cedarwood Amber is a perfect fit for the Floris #89 combination. I also purchased the Lavendar and Very Sexy For Men soaps.

I have to compliment Sue on a wonderful product and great customer service. Ordered the soaps last Friday and then arrived mid-day on Monday.

Tomorrow will be a Lavendar day.

Have a great night.
