Monday:
QED Sandalwood soap
C&E Jagger Best Badger
Progress w/ Israeli blade
Final pass w/ Feather Artist Club w/ Super Pro blade
Nivea Extra Soothing ASB
Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet
1) The QED Sandalwood has a nice, dry woody fragrance.
2) It will take me a while to figure out the Feather AC; for now I am opening up the blade angle more than I had expected to. I don't get much feedback from the blade, which must be due to the razor's mass. A different animal, for sure -- but an extremely well made tool.

No problem at all and it is just how I would have answered it. Except I would have put "I" where "he" is.scarface911 wrote:Brett, Those are the settings that he uses on his adjustable razor.Brett G wrote:Charlie,
Maybe I missed this somewhere but what does "3 Pass, 5,5,7" mean?
So he did 3 passes in total with a setting of 5 for the first, 5 for the second and 7 for the last.
Sorry for answering your question Charlie.

Hello All,
Well, it is Monday again. Robert had to fly back to England yesterday, so no more barber shaves for a while I'm afraid .
So, today, it was CT cream followed by some Trumper Royal, the only Trumper I really like and that has any staying power on me.
All week will be different Schick injectors, all with Ted Pella blades.
Cheers,
Richard

Monday....
40's Gillette SS w/ new Bic DE blade
Bic Metal for upper lip
Simpson PJ1 best
Honeybee "Very Sexy for Men" soap
Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel splash
DR Harris Pink A/S
Trumper's Eucris edt
The BIC DE blades continue to work wonders for me.
Very smooth and comfortable and they actually shave my neck closer than any other blade.
The Honeybee soaps are just fantastic...can't say enough about them...wonderful lather and great scents.
Very nice way to start off the week.

Monday, blue Monday:
- Merkur HD w/old Feather blade
- J.M. Fraser's cream
- Puffs Plus with Lotion for staunching neck wounds
- Zout for cleaning blood stains out of shirt collar
That blade was a day past it's "sell by" marking. :7( However, a big envelope showed up today at the office, full of Feathers from Pauldog, so I won't be worried about old blades for a good long time now!
Someone asked why I was capering around the mailboxes, so I cut open the envelope and showed her the big yellow-and-black package and sang out "Japanese razor blades!"
Looks like I should get my own seat in the cafeteria for a few more months now...

I'll be back in Paxos in a few weeks, head down on the new book; looking forward to trying those Bics having sneered ignorantly at them earlier. There's precious little else to do on a small Ionian island in the winter... eat, shave, write. Perfect.PonyPlayer wrote:40's Gillette SS w/ new Bic DE blade
Meanwhile:
Musgo Real
Rooney #2 Finest
Slant + Swede
Tabac A/S
Generic custom musk + vetiver cologne from a man in the Suq al-Hamadiyeh, Damascus.
Loved the Musgo lanolin. And I seem to have gone back to a fondness the old-style aftershaves of late -- Old Spice, Trumper's Milk of Flowers, Royal Yacht, Tabac. Blue Stratos is on the way. Perhaps it's all the Skin Care Mavens saying "Oooh you must NEVER splash ALCOHOL on your SKIN" making me just plain cussed. But that bracing, Homer Simpson tingle... manly, or what?
