Monday -- new week, new blade, renewed belief in the perfectability of man:
- Merkur HD w/new Feather blade
- Proraso green cream
- Truefitt & Hill East India Limes cologne
- and perhaps a little Corn Huskers Lotion to keep the rain out
Boy, does that cologne disappear fast -- as in "I didn't even get out of the bathroom and it's gone already" fast. But my face is soft and smooth and I'm looking forward to a whole week of good shaves.

Monday:
Sharps Kid Glove shave gel
Gillette slim adjustable
Feather blade
Sharps Kid Glove after shave
I didn't have enough time this morning for the brush, so I thought I would try out this shave gel I received a little while back. I don't think I will be trying it again. It was so cool that it was stinging, even more so on the second and third passes. I did get a close shave, but I didn't like the feeling.

Full disclosure: the Santal balm was for a Christmas present. I quote thought I should try a drop to make sure it was suitable close quote. Well I persuaded myself the chap would be better off with Trumper Coral...

Michael, that was thoughtful in every way. You've saved your friend from a bad, uh, embalming.
Monday:
Gillette undated Aristocrat / Gillette "Swede"
Caswell-Massey Almond Shave Cream
Clinique Post-Shave Healer
Brooks Bros. 1818 Cologne
I'm of two minds on this Clinique product. It's quickly absorbed, very thin, and does the job well. The scent, though fleeting, is a bit unpleasant. The ugly little plastic bottle is running low, and I'll soon be faced with the decision of whether to buy more of the stuff. In the meantime, I've got a bottle of D.R. Harris' Aftershave Milk on the way. I'll try that for a bit before I make my decision.
Have a good week, gentlemen.

Monday,
Rooney 1 Small Super
Honeybee Soap
Type L Injector
Schick blade
Nancy Boy A/S gel
The Honeybee soap came in the same deal that brought me the Wool Fat. I don't know what variety it is, only that it is a pinkish color and smells of coconuts. Thank God I used it with an Injector, otherwise I would have had a real bloodbath on my hands. The lather was very weak with little cushion. I might give this stuff one more try. If it don't get better I may try inserting a wick and burning it as a candle.

I sometimes wonder why we bother trying other soap when the greatness of Wool Fat exists.Brett G wrote:Monday,

Hello All,
To start off the week, Penhaligon's Opus 1870. Will be using the Feather AC for the week as well for a change. Excellent, smooth shaves with ProGuard blades.
Wenestvedt, quite true about the T&H West Indian Limes EDT. Same for the Trumpers. Both disappeared before I walked out the bathroom .
Now I use Taylor Victorian Lime EDT. Lasts all day.
Cheers,
Richard
