Here’s my SOTD taken with my lumpen-studio. The first was taken with a halogen, the second with a wireless flash.

Robert, nice picture!

Lyrt, I have to build one of those light boxes ASAP! I generally like to freehand my shots without a tripod, since I use a prime lens, I find a tripod a bit cumbersome. I bounce my flash off the ceiling usually. Some days work out better than others!

Richard, I too use a prime lens (105mm macro) but I think a 60mm macro like yours is perfect for light boxes and sotd shots. I just suggest you use a bigger cardboard than mine as creativity is seriously hampered by the lack of space.

Austin,

That shot is a radical departure from your usual perspective. Very nice, refeshing look :)!

For me, a quick, one-pass shave today (Ravi, too spartan :) ?)

Cheers,
Richard

Hello Sergio,

Yes, it is a Gillette long-handle ladies' DE in a gold motif. They also come in blue (most common), pink and sometimes silver.

They have the same head geometry as the Gillette Knacks and SlimTwists, which I like and which give me the best shaves.

Cheers,
Richard

Sergio: Sadly, I can't compare the Arlington milk to the regular milk, because I've never tried the regular. In trying to scrounge up bottles of the old formula, I've only come across the Arlington.

I will say this: the balm's fragrance is faithful to the Arlington scent. It fades quite quickly, so I don't hesitate to use it with any other fragrance.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. If anyone would like to give me a bottle of the basic old formula milk, I'll be happy to do additional research!

Sergio, The old formula Arlington Milk works identically to the old regular version. Only the scent is different, and that fades quickly in any case.
Saturday:

D R Harris's A/S Milk ( older version )
Penhaligon's Lords

Except for ISD, this has been the Shave of the Week.
Gotta love The Fidelity Post: today's shave was faster and better than Tuesday's,
although now I think The Body Shop cream actually smells like sandalwood

Saturday:

SCS Bay Rum Cream
'59 Gillette Fatboy
Swedish Gillette blade
SCS best badger brush

SCS bay rum EDT

One of the best shaves I've had.
So pleased with the SCS cream.
Set the Fatboy on 3 for the first pass, 5 for the next and clean up.
