SCS badger brush
Crabtree&Evelyn Sandalwood shaving cream

It's now the third time that I've used the Futur and all I have to say is, that it is a really great and smooth shaver...

Saturday:
AC
Sabrooney
Trumper Sandalwood Soap
Trumper Limes skin food
Acqua Di Parma colonia
I rushed through the shave, and it went amazingly well (rushing probably takes off less than a minute from the process anyway).

Sunday:
AC
Sabrooney
Trumper Almond cream
Trumper Limes skin food
Trumper Wellington EDC
And with today's shave (one N-S pass, one across the grain) I feel like the feather AC is no longer a mystery. I can handle it, and get a decent shave. I'm still not going to rush into against the grain though. And tomorrow is a new blade, so I may eat these words.

Well... I thought I would drag out the 'ol Proraso this morning as I haven't used it in a long time. Worked the soap as I would usually, and then went to the scuttle to build a lather. Proraso wouldn't cooperate and wanted more water, so I gave it some. Made a nice lather and it had plenty of slip. That's where the alarm bells should have gone off. When you make a good thick soap lather, plenty slip really isn't there, it is not what you are looking for. Three slippery passes with the Feather AC and three nicks (one of those was pretty nasty). After many weeks of nick free shaves I get three. Grumble...

For me the AC and Proraso definitely do not go together. I can get very good shaves with Proraso, using a DE, but when I used the AC previously with Proraso I managed to irritate my skin worse than ever before in my life.
