Yesterday's Shave;
Pantene proVtreatment Smooth Start on a wet face
Tone's extra large Super badger
T&H Luxury Cake
Gillette tall adjustable set to 3 for preliminary passes and 7 for final polishes, New Feather Blade
Herban Cowboy shave balm
AQUA DI GIO by Georgio Armani
This was one of those days when a new blade is so superior that a true bbs was possible without a single nick. I added the edt to celebrate.

So, you're keeping it, huh???rustyblade wrote: Lets see you do THAT with your every day brush! Hmmm!!! Long live the eaves trough/gutter!
Have you tried your dry, thick, lather technique with a DE, by any chance. I had to use one for travel the other day, and I got such a beautiful lather with the Valobra shave stick, approximately as thick as what I get with the Mitchell's (thanks again!). The AC loves this kind of lather, but I could barely work the safety bar through it!

Yes, it does, but it will gunk up the razor pretty fast. So I tried with just a touch more water and I had the best DE shave I ever had last week. I am also a solid believer that a Feather AC will improve your DE technique.ScottS wrote:So, you're keeping it, huh???rustyblade wrote: Lets see you do THAT with your every day brush! Hmmm!!! Ren, that is pre-bloom (and I love your botanical references). The T4 doesn't bloom much however due to its density. It is a damn good brush if it holds on to its whiskers. I just love the handle, not only is it a joy to hold, but it is incredibly good looking. It lost about 8 on the maiden voyage, so we'll see. I let the damn label go down the drain.Big Ren wrote:Richard,
Was the above picture taken after you deflowered the Tulip or was it taken pre-bloom?

That's what Tulips like to hear, especially after the "maiden voyage".rustyblade wrote:I just love the handle, not only is it a joy to hold, but it is incredibly good looking.

Were you gentle Richard...being the 'Tulips' first time and all?

I don't have any empty cream containers to "convert." I also didn't want to stalk DR Harris for a free label.Str8G8r wrote: tub for that soap rather than just popping it into any old tupperware that could have been used to hold garlic sauce or some other Canadian food?
And what's wrong with my Tupperware? Functional it is. Ugly, but functional.
