Monday

Trumper's Sandalwood Shaving Cream
Simpson's T3 brush
Merkur Slantbar (1st pass only)
Merkur Progress
D.R. Harris Pink

The slantbar/Progress combination was better than yesterday since I was only shaving with one day's growth of beard. But the slantbar still leaves me feeling a bit sore.

Ken, Well, it bes that way for some of us. I can use a Slant without dire problems ( at least in the short haul ), but my skin clearly doesn't like it. I've bought and sold two of them over the years, and I doubt that I'll ever get another. So, you're hardly alone.

Hello All,

Finally made it back yesterday from my business trip to Melbourne, Florida. Had to catch up today at the office; hence, this late posting. It was a Nancy Boy day, followed up by some NB Cooling Aftershave Gel. The reeds and jar are the NB sweetgrass room scent oil. Works really well in a small room like the bath. Supposedly lasts 5 - 6 months.

Cheers,
Richard

Hey Sergio,

I enjoyed the photo for sure, but I'm curious what the music was...?

Feather AC/pro super
Sabrooney finest
Tabac
Lucky Tiger ASB/toner
T&H Spanish Leather

I took a deep breath and tried a two pass shave with the AC - one top to bottom pass, and one against the grain.
It worked very well. Not as close as a three pass (no, really?) but a very good shave indeed.

Domenic, I find that if I do a two pass AC shave I end up spending so much time doing T&C on the difficult spots that I missed, I might as well just do a three pass that gets all those areas and more. I'm pretty picky though.

I'm pretty sure I didn't save any time, either, and probably went over each area of skin just as much as with a three pass. Picky, indeed.
But now I can check it off my to do list...

Tuesday before the snow comes:
- Merkur HD w/Feather blade
- SMF III brush
- Crabtree & Evelyn Nomad cream

It was ten degrees F and windy [you can also read that as, "ten degrees and f-ing windy"] when I went out to the car this morning, and now that I'm at work I really wish I had remembered to put on some CHL or Skin Food or anything. :-(

Monday night:

SCS Almond with Tweezerman brush
Gold NEW w/Feather blade - 1 pass

I don't know what caused it, but my skin was burning after just one N>S pass last night. It could be the change of razor, it could be the blade (I've lost count, but I think it's on its fifth shave), it could be the fact that I had shaved about 12 hours prior, or it could be the soap.

I'll try the soap again tonight with a fresh razor and blade and see what happens.
