Sunday:

Aveda Rosemary Mint shaving gel
'58 Super Speed
Derby blade (#3)
Feather "Kanwa" ASB

I wasn't even going to bother shaving today since it was so late, but I decided to give it a quick 2-pass shave. I didn't even feel like using my brush today, but I have a few different brushless gels for just such an occasion. Now I feel minty fresh, even if I did wait until 4 pm to shave.

Sunday:

Gillette classic SS & English Wilkinson blade
D R Harris's Best Badger H3
Coate's Lavender shave cream
D R Harris's A/S Milk ( old version )
Trumpers Fougena cologne

I did this kind of on purpose. Not only are all these products of excellent quality, but are also among my favourites, and none of them are being made anymore ( well, the Harris's H3 brush is still available, but even that may not be being made by the same company as the one I have, I'm not sure ). But, all the others are gone. The English Wilkinsons may not have been the equal of the 'Swedes', but they were good blades. Coate's is/was my favourite line of shave creams, and Harris's Milk was the only A/S product I would use. Fougena was one of my three or four favourite all around colognes. The whole thing made me feel rather sad....as well as angry. ( BTW, it was a very good shave ).

Sunday

Spent the day wrestling a dying snowblower and a shovel around 13+ inches (about 35 cm) of snow. Two driveways and the sidewalk for about half the block. Walked into the house cold, wet, and sore. Took a nice long hot shower and, for the first time in my life, actually craved a shave.

C&E Best brush
Coates Lime
Gillette long-handled Adjustable
Israeli ASR blade
T&H Limes after-shave balm

Aaaaahhhhhhhh! =D>
