Ran out of time to take a picture, but my shave looked exactly like this one previously:
I'm a big fan of the scuttle, it adds a whole new classy dimension to the shave. It also helps that the Trumper Oxford Blue soap is some really good stuff. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it is better than the standard Trumper shave soap. There, I said it. There is a big mystery around these scuttle soaps.

Sigh......"a far gone geek.." for sure.
Nicely done, Richard. Your first pass is like my first two, and your second pass is done like my third; which is where I stop. Of course, I'm using a DE, but I found it very interesting. That Japanese style razor looks like it might be a bit easier to maneuver in some ways, then the Western type straight.

Had the time, did it up right. Have not have a bowl in over 4 years, decided to try some Frog. Was delightful, I made it small.
