Pre-Shave:.....Proraso Pre-Shave Cream
Brush:...........Rooney Super Silvertip Badger style 3 size 1 (small) brush
Cream/Soap:..Proraso Shaving Soap
Razor:............Gillette 1955 (A-4) Red-tipped Superspeed (3rd time)
Blade:............Israeli Crystal (3rd day for current blade)
After Shave:...Proraso Liquid Cream After Shave balm (LCASB)*
This was my first time trying my Rooney with the Proraso soap. I must say it made a better lather, quicker, and using less soap than either my EJ or Proraso Boar. In comparison to the Boar it also made less of a mess due to its smaller size. Either I am getting use to this Red-tipped SS or it is not as aggressive as I initially thought. This was one of my closest and most comfortable shaves besides my few BBS days. This one almost was another BBS to make 3 for me, but I apparently needed to do a little more T&C to get there. I was even tempted to make another batch of lather just to get it, but I decided not to. After, this Crystal blade is done I am going to try this 'red' with an English Wilkinson blade.
