Very odd. I've been traveling since Wed, and haven't checked in. I shave this morning, avoiding heavy scents as I hope to go fishing. I opt for an all-Proraso day-- pre, cream, and aftershave balm.

I log on to check stream reports, hatch activity, and water levels, and lo and behold, today is a Proraso ISD. Weird.

I understand that Kent's BK4 is suppose to be quite the little brush for soaps. It (the BK4) is a nice looking brush as well. You should consider buying a BK4 and trying it out to see for yourself... :P

Who knows you might like the BK4 and write another positive review of it.

Here is a pic of the BK4...

Here is where you can order a BK4 for yourself...

I can give you a coupon code for the BK4, if you PM me Clive...

Does that help you at all Clive?

Well, I sort of dropped the ball on Proraso day, but had an incredible shave anyway...

Revivage soap
Rooney Finest Style 1 Small
Merkur Slant w/ UK Wilkinson
Master Lilac Vegetol

I'm going to stick with the slant for a while; I've had two great shaves in a row with it.

Sunday:

Tryphon Medici shaving soap (first time)
Savile Row 3122 brush (22mm knot; silvertip)
Star 3-piece razor (2nd shave)
Dorco blade (2nd shave)
Thayer's Original Witch Hazel

This was my first time using a Tryphon soap, and I'm impressed. It has a "creamy" texture, different from any glycerin-based soap that I have used thus far. Very good lather.

The Star razor and the Dorco blade appear to be a good combination. The shave was gentle and smooth, much like I get with the Gillette Tech.

The shave set up this week is:

1961 Gillette Fatboy with Merkur blade
Palmovlive Brushless Shave Cream
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Cornhuskers lotion
C&E Aftershave lotion.

Smooth and comfortable, just the way a shave should be.
