Progress/Israeli
SMF III
T&H Lavender
Lucky Tiger Tonic
Acqua di Parma Colonia (rapidly becoming my "signature scent"...)

I found the Israeli smoother and kinder when I opened the razor up to 5. Science is powerless to explain this.

Thursday: Same as yesterday.

Gillette HD Rocket & Swedish Gillette blade
Kent Bk4
Trumpers Almond hard shaving soap
D R Harris's Pink A/S
Penhaligon's Hammam Bouquet

I've always loved this soap, when I can get the lather right. VERY old timey, upper crust sort of scent. That little Kent BK4 just seems to do an amazingly good job with the Trumper soaps for some reason.

HD with derby (day2)
C&E BBB
TOBS St. James SC
Alum
T&H Trafalgar ASB (just a liiiiitle bit)

this morning before work:
SCS B&B Bay ARum w/ a Twist EdT concoction (I combined some of this with some pinaud bay rum AS)

I threw together the EdT concoction last night before bed after reading about a B&B member who tried it (and I thought the BRWAT could use just a little more bay rum). Overall it was OK, but I either need to add more Pinaud AS or it didn't make much of a difference and I could just not bother doing it again.

Love the St. James!

Thursday: 03 May 07 ~* SOTD *~

Pre-Shave:.....Proraso Pre-Shave Cream
Brush:...........Rooney Super Silvertip Badger style 3 size 1 (small) brush
Cream/Soap:..Proraso Shaving Soap
Razor:............Gillette 1955 (A-4) Red-tipped Superspeed
Blade:............English Wilkinson blade (1st day for current blade)
After Shave:...Proraso Liquid Cream After Shave balm (LCASB)

This was my first time trying the English Wilkinson blades in the Red-tip SS. It could have easily been a BBS, if my two year old had not interrupted me while doing T&C. She was suppose to be napping, but there she was opening the bathroom door and startling me. #-o

Absolutely ZERO irritation, and quite smooth except for a couple of small areas that T&C could have easily fixed. :D

Gillette Fat Boy
Derby
B&B Silvertip in Horn
eShave White Tea cream
Thayer's Lavender WH
Aqua Velva
eShave White Tea ASB
Polo Blue EDT

I have always gotten excellent shaves when I use the eShave cream (White Tea or Cucumber). Their after shave balms go on feeling heavy at first then settle in and are great. I only have travel sizes but will probably have to "Super Size" soon!

I thought you wanted the Floris scuttle to give your T&H scuttle soap a new home, since the Oxford Blue already had one? :-s :?

Friday!

Day 5 of my GEM experiments
GEM G-bar
Treet Blade
CE Bigelow cream
Nivea Aftershave Balm

First day all week I've had some burn on my upper neck, but other than that, yet another nick-and-divot free shave after three passes. Tomorrow morning, I may test my theory -- that the GEM is the ultimate against-the-grain one pass shaver...

Good eye Tim!. I bought the Oxford Blue scuttle and a refill at the same time (the scuttle came with one). The refill is the old formula Trumpers (it says on the ingredients), the puck of soap that came with the scuttle had no ingredients on it. I just wanted to make sure that they are the same (they are). I pried the Oxford Blue out of the Floris scuttle put it back in the box and put in the T&H now.

I like the Floris scuttle because the cup is deeper and allows more room to work the brush. I suspect that a puck of Harris soap may just fit in there... Hmmm!

T.G.I.F.:

Vulfix 2233
Kiss My Face Moisture Shave: Cool Mint
'53 Super Speed
UK Wilkinson Sword blade (#4)
Thayer's Original witch hazel
Pinaud Clubman AS

The more I shave with the WS blades, the more I think that they don't agree with my face. I'm sure it's my technique, but I'm going to switch to a different blade after this run.

TGIF

Nivia face wash
Honeybee Spa Lavender Shaving Soap
Omega Boar Brush
1959 Red Tip SS
Crystal Blade
Old Spice

So much for the fidelity of my week, the razor changed and the blade changed. My experiment failed, I couldn't make the week by using the same setup. WIM!
