Kent BK4
Taylor Avocado Shaving Cream
GEM G-bar
GEM blade (#1)
D.R. Harris Pink After Shave

I now know the difference between a shaving cut and a shaving gash. I don't like to use the words "flap" and "skin" in the same sentence, but it is appropriate here. I just can't figure these GEM razors out. This is the second one I've owned and I've had poor results each time.

Thursday:

Simpson CH1 Best
T&H Rose Cream
EJ Razor w/ Swedish Gillette
DR Harris Pink A/S
Pecksniff's Fougere

I was in Chicago yesterday, and of course had to stop by T&H and pick up a fresh pot of Rose in order to avoid shipping from England. I also sampled Floris 89, but didn't like it initially, and so I passed on the one bottle they had left. After I had left the store, I noticed that it had dried down to something that I really liked, and now I'm kicking myself for not getting it!

Not my finest work, not my worst. Still a far sight better (and more enjoyable) than my Mach3!

No, but there are many other soaps that smell very similar: Taylor Luxury, Trumper Oxford Blue and O&G, and, of course, T&H scuttle soaps. Gordon called it: "Edwardian Bouquet" (not sure if he just made that up or that he really knows something).
