Sunday! (relocated from the wrong week... )

Razor: 1959 Gillette Adjustable
Blade: Merkur (day one)
Brush: Vulfix 2197
Creme: Trumper's Lime
A/S: Nivea Sensitive Skin

Very nearly BBS on the first try with this new (to me) razor. Set it on three to start. A touch of razor burn on the right jawline, a couple of weepers on the upper lip, but otherwise excellent. Burn and weepers were caused, I'm pretty sure, by forgetting the no/negative pressure rule in the midst of my excitement.

Also added a bunch of extra water to the creme for kicks and ended up with more than enough lather for three passes (WTG/XTG/ATG), and touch up. Had enough lather left over to shave both rabbits (but didn't).

Sunday:

Omega brush
Parker 22R/new Sharp
Muhle-Pinsel aloe vera shaving soap
Anherb a/shave conditioner

a complete change in the Muhle Pinsel soaps--this new reformulation lathers very well. The skincare is still as good as ever. :)

I thought these things started on Monday, not Sunday. Oh well, double the fun, I guess.

Sunday:

Gillette '58 TV Super Speed / Gillette "Swede"
Coates Lime Shave Cream
Trumper's WI Limes Skin Food

I think I'll be alternating between the '58 TV and the '68 Long Black Handle Adjustable for awhile. I like the longer handle of the adjustable, but I'm not sure if the results are just as good. Time will tell.

Good shave. Haven't used the C&E ASB in a while, but I think I'll start using it a bit more often.

Merkur slant w/ sputnik blade (day 3)
Tryphon's Medici soap
Rooney super 2/1

witch Hazel
SCS Embrace aftershave milk

I thought I might have to separate the slant/sputnik combo. That particular blade seemed a little too aggressive in my slant. I was planning to save them for a milder razor and move on to something else, but tonight I got a fine shave from it. It might be the case that I just needed a different technique for the slant/sputnik special.

Tryphon's soaps continue to impress me. The two I have tried (Sandalo & Medici) have wonderful and subtle scents, and provide plenty of lather. The lather from these soaps tend to keep my face more moist during the shave than my hard milled soaps (although, this might just be my ability with the triple milled stuff). Regardless, they are fantastic stuff at a good value. I'll grab some different types soon and maybe do up a little review post.

All in all, a wonderful shave for a fine sunday.
