Sunday:
Gillette Superspeed & Swedish Gillette blade
Plisson #14 European White
Trumpers Almond hard shaving soap
D R Harris's Pink A/S
Trumpers Fougena
Note: For whatever reason, this combination ( that is to say, the Plisson EW and the Trumper soaps ) always seem to mix up an unusually thick heavy lather. Nice stuff; very close cut.

A SOTD picture after ages
I am becoming a big fan of T&H.

Question? How you do you insert the Image directly here, rather than a cropped Thumbnail that Links to the bigger picture?

Scorching hot shower
Baxters scrub
Purpose face wash
Neutragena body wash
Feather Pre-shave
Shave
Feather Artist Club
Edwin Jagger Best badger medium
Moss scuttle
KMF Lavender
Alum block
Feather Aftershave
Clubman bump repair gel
The KMF seems harder to lather than my Trumpers, or Salters. It is quite thin.

First post in SOTD
Been shaving with a DE for just over a week, slowly getting the hang of it. Sunday morning after a very busy weekend was a long hot shared bath then a long slow relaxing shave. After 20 years of having a beard because I really couldn't be bothered with the hassle of shaving I now, thanks to this forum and some decent shaving equipment, find myself looking forward to my morning shave.
Merkur HD
Wilkinson Sword UK (Day 3)
Kent BK4
Trumpers Lime shaving cream
WWR
CWR
Alum Block
WWR
Few drops of jojoba
2 passes, WTG then XTG, this time very little irritation, I think I'm starting to get the angles right and taking things slow seems to improve the shave. Still not quite getting the smoothness around the jawline that I'd like, but I'm pretty sure this is a technique thing. Finding the Wilkinson's better than the Merkur that came with the razor. Also getting the hang of whipping up a lather that holds for a couple of passes, although it thins a bit by the end.
Cheers,
Justin.

Yep. seems like really Old Stuff, Picked up from ebay about a year or so ago. The scent is really strong, much stronger & Differnt than than the Astor Cologne I picked up recently. Funny thing, is that the After shave has some very small reddish particles floating at he bottom, almost looks like saffron. Doesn't seems to affect the performance.bernards66 wrote:Ameet, That's a pretty old bottle of Astor Aftershave that you've got there. Around twenty years old or so, maybe more. Still has the Royal Warrant and the larger label. Nice.

Gordon
