Monday
Trying to cure a bad case of bumps while not being able to take a day off from shaving, I resorted to this...
Bic Original, first shave
Bump Fighter Shaving Gel
Nivea Sensitive lotion
first time using the gel by itself to shave with. Rubbed it on with my hands...it says its low foam, but it foamed up pretty well. And boy, is it slick--more of an oil shave with just a little cushion. Seemed to do the trick.

I've been using MWF for a few weeks, but a couple nights ago I shaved with Trumpers rose shave cream and was blown away by how fast I got a lather. . . milliseconds. . . all I had to do was look at it and - BOOM! - explosive lather ensued. . .ichabod wrote:Progress/Tesco

Prep: hand soap, hot towel, Proraso crema pre barba
Brush: Shavemac silvertip
Soap/Cream: William soap + Musgo Real
Razor+Blade: Futur + Swedish Gillette #3
Passes: 2: wtg, atg - dialed to #2 for both passes
Post: Proraso crema pre barba, Nivea for Men AS Balm
Result: B+. I was running late, so it was a very quick, slightly rough, but irritation-free shave. Total time including cleanup was about 12 minutes. I shaved nice and close yesterday about 2PM, so this morning I rewound the beard-clock to about 8PM last night. Good enough.
