Monday
  • Prep: regular (shower, towelling dry, remoistening the beard with warm water)
  • Soap: Tabac Original
  • Brush: Shavemac silvertip badger
  • Razor: Gillette M3Power on a non-vibrating handle
  • Method: 2 N-S passes, 1 ATG pass, almost no touching up
  • Aftershave: Tabac Original
A+ shave. Tabac never fails nor disappoints. Close after the first pass already, smooth on the second, easy ATG.

Pre-Shave: Hot towel/hot towel on lather
Razor: Gillette Tech w/ bakelite handle
Blade: Derby, second shave
Brush: Generic badger brush
Cream: Tryphon Rose
A/S: Aqua Velva Blue Ice/Nivea for Men Sensitive lotion

A great shave from a new razor. No nicks, one weeper. Experimenting with Aqua Velva for a week -- used right after I shave -- to see how it helps with my razor bump prone skin.

Trying to heal from a beat-up neck. First shave with the Tech: glorious. Close and comfortable with no further irritation to the scrape job I'd done previously. The balm should help the healing along.
