Thank you, I'll never pull off photos as nice as yours or others around here. I'm completely lacking artistic talent, not that pointing and clicking a camera completely demands much more than solid competence in using the tool, but some how it does and it definitely escapes me  (that's one of my better pics  ).
All that aside, I do like that type of scuttle, I've got 3 and they are perfect for face lathering, the extra water that drips off the soap trickles down to the "reservoir" to be grabbed by the brush later, nice easy grip as well. :)

Friday's Shave

Post by nteeman »

Pre-Shave:
Razor: Merkur HD
Blade: French Gillette Shave #4
Brush:
Cream: Gillette Sensitive canned cream
Soap:
A/S: Nivea for Men Sensitive Extra Soothing A/S Balsam

1 Pass ATG.

While traveling I took my HD and an old can of Gillette--still got a pretty good shave though not quite as enjoyable.

Sorry for the late post--I was in transit yesterday. I plan on an enjoyable shave with brush and soap for later today (Saturday).

Saturday

C&E BBB
Speick Stick
Late '40's Superspeed
Treet Classic
Nivea Sensitive ASB

First time with the late 40's SS, it was good...need a couple more shaves to dial it in a little. Treet was quite a suprise, worked very nicely.

Have a good one,

Gary

Hi Andrew,

I paid particularly close attention today and, on your behalf, applied it all over. While it does work well in treating razor burn areas, it does leave my face greasy. I had just used it very sparingly before and couldn't really tell. I'll keep it around as the shea butter works so well on the razor burn, but definitely not something I'll use all over again.

Good morning. Saturday;

Pre-war Aristocrat w/ Swede
CF Lavender cream
Emillion
Thayer's Lavender Witchazel
QEDman lavender balm

Excellent shave, with one less pass. I've always found the Swede smooth but a little too sharp for my taste but I hadn't tried it in the Aristocrat before and figured, what the hell. And it worked out a lot better than in a Superspeed or HD. See how it goes tomorrow. The QED moisturizes nicely but feels a little heavy- for me more of a winter product.
Best,
Chris

Saturday

C&E Sandalwood soap
Simpson Commodore X2 best
'52 Gillette Tech
Polsilver (day 4)
Humphrey's witch hazel
ST Dupont signature

Love my C&E Sandalwood. I forget as I'm playing around with others how much I love this scent. The Polsilver is done for me. No problems, but it took 3 passes to get decently close, plus touch-up, and it's still not as good as the 2-pass shave the blade gave me two days ago. The Dupont is not something I use often, but it's not bad, and not so cloying as many department store scents.

Threw on some Yardley sandalwood talc, too. Excellent scent; excellent functionality.

Tim
