Darn, Gordon, you just KEEP rubbing it in. I never managed to get ahold of any Coate's lavender. Since it's currently unobtainium, I don't even want to know...I'll just have to be content with my T&H and Harris...

Monday Morning:

PreShave: Hot Shower/Noxzema Deep Cleansing Cream/Hot Towel
Razor: 1940 Gillette TECH
Blade: Swedish Gillette (Shave #3)
Brush: Omega Stripey Badger 63171
Cream: Palmolive American
A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel and Nivea Sensitive AS Balm
Cologne: Preferred Stock

Awesome shave today. Got a little aggressive in two areas and was punished with a nick or two but everything else is good. Not BBS but passable and comfortable. I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of it and the TECH with the Swede is the best combo I've used so far.

GFT Lime Shave Cream (sample)

GFT Lime shave cream was nice and dense, though I don't like the scent. Too sweet for me. Shave was great though. Really like the Pink A/S.

  • + Prep: Noxzema Deep Cleansing Cream & hot towel
    + Brush: C&E BBB
+ Cream: SCS Smoke & Beads
+ Razor: '48 Gillette Super Speed for face & Bic Sensitive for head
+ Blade: Feather Stainless (shave 1)
    + Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
+ A/S: SCS Savory Rose ASM and Aqua Velva Ice ASB
Result: A BBS shave with only two minor nicks on the WTG pass on the left side of the neck. I was very, very careful with the Feather and paid close attention to the pressure and speed with which I shaved today. The BBS accomplished without as much blade buffing as usual. I like the Feathers and think I could get used to them after awhile. Now to give it a run in my Tech/NEW hybrid tomorrow.

Gorgeous brush Gareth. Is that the T2 or T3? I can't quite make it out. (I'm trying to figure out which one to get and this is a great size comparison shot for us prospective Tulip consumers)

Scott, thanks. I'm made up with it. It's a T3, but I'll warn you now - they can be quite scrubby. If you like that sort of thing then they're probably the best shaving brush out there.

My only quibble is that the damn sticker fell off yesterday!!
