Wednesday:

Contract Tech
Topaz blade
Gimbels pure
NOS Wrisley soap
Superior 70 Bay Rum

The Topaz blade is not very sharp. This was shave #3 with it and it leaves a lot behind. Funny thing though, it is not uncomfortable, just dull.

SOYE
'59 Fatboy with Gillette 7 O'Clock
Simpson X2L
C&E Sienna cream
Clubman Bay Rum

Smell for today - C&E Nomad EDT

My first shave with my newly acquired Fatboy (traded for my Progress - thanks Slayer/Iakov! - I found the Progress just too harsh for my skin on any setting). A much much more comfortable shave if not as close, but I am sure this is just down to requirement for a different angle.

Wednesday

C&E BBB
T&H Luxury Soap
'61 Gillette Tech
7o'clock Sharp Edge (Russian yellow pak)
Swiss Pitralon

Today's shave was clean and close but not as smooth as I like. First try with the 7o'clock...this is a sharp blade, maybe a little to sharp for me, found it a little edgy on the first pass so I checked my angle and pressure, second and third passes were much better. I hope it smooths out a little more as it really does cut close.

G'day,

Gary

Vintage Chanel Antaeus

Scored a little bit of old juice, wow, did Chanel screw this one up. I wore Antaeus when it first came out, and it was my signature scent, skinny 22 year old punk that I was. This stuff takes me right back to the early 80s!

Wednesday

Merkur 37C Slant
Super Iridium
C&E Best Badger
MWF
Nivea Sensitive Balm
Rosehip seed oil

Another o.k. shave with the Slant. Over the last couple of weeks, I've purchased and used a 33C and the Slant. I'm afraid both will need to take up residence in the display cabinet. When I reach for a Merkur in the future, it will be my gold Progress, which not only looks great, but is also a wonderful shaver.
