Monday AM

Gillette '56 Superspeed w/Tesco blade
Coral Skin Food pre-shave
C&E Super Badger brush
Palmolive Classic cream (UK green tube)
Osma alum block
Sandalwood Skin Food post shave

Time to change the Tesco blade as it started to pull this morning. Still - was able to take my time and get a good shave nevertheless.

  • Prep: Noxzema Deep Cleansing Cream & hot towel
  • Brush: C&E BBB
  • Cream: SCS Tea Tree
  • Razor: GEM Micromatic for face
  • Blade: GEM Blue Star (shave 1)
  • Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
  • A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner & Nivea Sensitive ASB

  • Result: A pretty good but not BBS shave with the Micromatic. Haven't figured out the GEM technique quite yet. Need to work on it some. Do like that I very seldom get nicks or weepers with the GEMs.

It's one of my favorites as well, Dominic. Mmm...tallow...

Monday:

Razor: EJ Ivory Chatsworth + Dorco
Brush: Rooney Heritage Stubby Medium
Soap/Cream: Taylor Avocado Cream
After shave: DR Harris Pink AS; DR Harris AS Milk

The TOBS Avocado made some exceptional lather this morning, although I used an "ample" portion.
