With the recent boar discussions going on in various threads, I decided to get my Vulfix back into the bathroom.

Monday

Slant w/ Feather
EJ Pure Badger
Art of Shaving Sandalwood SS
Aloe Vera
Floris No.89 cologne

This was my first shave with the famed AoS hard shaving soap... and it is very good. It produced a nice, dense, rich lather easily and was nice and slick during the shave. My face didn't feel dried out after the shave. I also like the scent - it's a good take on sandalwood. This one's a keeper.

Monday am

Undated Gold Tech w/Derby Extra
Sandalwood Skin Food pre-shave
C&E/EJ Super Badger brush
MWF
TOBS alum block
The Body Shop Razor Relief
Sandalwood Skin Food post-shave

As per my last SOTD post, my Osma alum block finally gave up the ghost after many months of stellar service. I broke open a brand new TOBS alum block this morning --- funny how a new block of alum seems so much bigger than one at the end of it's life. I think it may even be better than the Osma alum. Nice shave. Love the Fat.

Duke #3
Wool Fat
Wapi 5/8
Thayer's

I'm now a convert on the fat. I treat it like any other soap, except that I add more water after the brush is loaded as I lather my face. Simple additional step, and the lather doesn't dry up. Very nice.
