Good morning. Monday:

Aristocrat w/IP
SR 3120, ebony
Charles Tyrwhitt Lemon & Cedar cream (sample)
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel
TGR Standard A/S balm

Although the scent wasn't a home run for me, the Tyrwhitt cream is very high quality stuff- kind of reminds me of The Shaving Gallery cream in performance. But with a better scent.
Best,
Chris

Omega #10066
Valobra fougere
Dovo 5/8 razor
Thayer's splash
Guerlain Vetiver

I'm impressed by the Valobra fougere. It's a very light fougere up top, underlying base scent of Valobra soft soap. It lathers easily, and the shaves are fantastic.

Dovo 5/8 Special on the half shell
Sabrooney finest 1/2
Harris lavender soap
Trumper's Limes skin food
Fresh Cannabis Santal

My run of excellent straight shaves continues. On Sunday I found myself with extra time to shave, and experimented with some more localised stretching. It seems to have added something to the shave, so I did it again today.

Monday!

Merkur Futur / Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (yellow box)
EJ Silvertip brush
EJ Sea Buckthorn cream
Booster Iced Limes AS; TSD Lavender Milk
Creed Green Irish Tweed

Hmm...the EJ Sea Buckthorn cream was really kind of bleh. This was my first go with the yellow box 7 o'clocks. They really seemed sharp, or maybe the EJ cream just made them appear that way.

  • Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
  • Brush: The "Ever Roddy" - an Ever Ready 300 refurbished with a silvertip badger know by The Knotty Badger
  • Cream: T&H 1805
  • Razor: '12 GEM Jr. Standard Handle - Gold
  • Blade: Ted Pella PTFE coated SE (shave 4)
  • Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
  • A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Toner & SCS Lavender ASM
  • EDT: SCS Dagger EDT

Result: BBS shave, no blood, the GEM Jr and the Pella blade is a great team to accomplish that. The 1805 was nothing extraordinary as some thing the T&H creams are. My SCS & TSD creams lather just as well and provide similar shaving effects. Do not like the Dagger.
