Monday Morning:

Hot Shower/Hot Towel
1953 Gillette 40's Style SS
Swedish Gillette (Shave #1)
C&E BBB
La Toja Classic SC
Pinaud Clubman A/S
TSD AS Milk

Bottom line, one of the finest shaves I have ever had. The La Toja is such a nice cream. I can't even explain it. It saddens me quite a bit that I'm having trouble finding a new blade that works as well for me as the Swedish G's do. Still trying to find something that I can turn to once my stock runs out. I'd have to say that I get my best lathers when I use my Tweezerman and my C&E brushes. Always very slick and cushioning and always plenty of lather for 3 or more passes. The Pinaud is quickly becoming my favorite a/s. Such a classic scent and evaporates within seconds of hitting my face. A friggin' fantastic start to the day and week. I love it!

Good Monday morning all...

EJ Chatsworth
Mach 3 & Gillette Tech (head)
Trumpers superbadger
La Toja sc
La Toja as
Thayers Original wh w/ aloe
Anherb after shave balm
Acqua di Selva Edc

A wonderful shave with the Chatsworth and La Toja which, like yesterday's Veleiro sc leaves my face feeling great. A combo Mach 3/Tech head shave with two and half passes for both face and head.

  • Prep: Rite Aid Skin Cleansing Cream & Hot Towel
  • Brush: The Dana Brush an Ever Ready 50N Boar
  • Cream: TSD Buccaneer
  • Razor: '09 Gillette Old Type with Single Ring Handle
  • Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (shave 1)
  • Oil Pass: Leisureguy's Last-Pass Shave Oil
  • A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel Tone and AQ Skin Conditioner
  • EDT: 4711 EDC

  • Result: New blade in the old razor today. So a BBS shave with no blood. Use the Dana Brush with a cream today just to see how it worked with the cream. It was not good had to add extra cream and ended up using double the amount I usually use. Not something I will do again. The Buccaneer comes from a sample and while the cream worked effectively I am undecided about the scent.
