Monday

Barbasol
Merkur HD/Derby Extra
Thayers After Shave

A little "under the weather" this morning so after a hot shower just a quick clean up shave, two passes one up and one down for a nice shave. Sort of enjoyed the no fuss, easy routine using a couple of old favorites.
Good shaving,

Gary

Monday's Shave:

Razor: Edwin Jagger Chatsworth
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum (Shave #4)
Cream: Proraso green
Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super Badger
A/S: Ogallala Bay Rum, Limes, & Peppercorns

I tend to think of Proraso as a warm weather cream, but it’s great anytime!

Monday

Razor: Merkur Futur on 1.5
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge
Brush: Shavemac
Pre-Shave: Kell's Original Unscented Pre-shave
Soap: Tabac
A/S: TOBS Mr. Taylor

Today I went with the adage that less is more and dialed my Futur down to 1.5. The Futur delivered an irritation free BBS shave and the Mr. Taylor was a fine finish.

One has to approach Mondays with dignity and head high so:

Shavemac Long Handled Silvertip
Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet SS (tallow)
Moss Scuttle
Freshly honed Rugra 5/8
D.R. Harris Sandalwood AS

Watch out.

Hey Nick Freeh - welcome to the board. Nice shave set up you got there. I have the same EJ Chatsworth and it's one of my favorites...

W&B 8/8 Barber's Use
Sabrooney finest 1/2
Trumper's sandalwood soap
Trumper's Limes Skin Food
Acqua di Parma Colonia

I have used the same set-up other than cologne for the last fortnight, and I'm as shocked as anyone.

Monday Morning:

Hot Shower/Hot Towel
Type L Schick Injector
NOS Injector Blade (USA) (Shave #1)
Kent/Altesse Pure Badger
Proraso Red SC
NOS Shulton Old Spice A/S
TSD AS Milk

I wanted to go with something that performed well but was still fairly gentle on my face (still had some irriation left over from Saturday) so I pulled out my trusty Injector this morning and all was well with world. Great results all around from everything. The Proraso Red lathered beautifully and provided great cushion. I used two NOS products today (NOS = New Old Stock.) The MADE IN THE USA Injector blade did a tremendous job and the classic Shulton formula Old Spice was a terrific finish although it burned like the fires of Hell after application. They must have used more alcohol in the old formula because the newer stuff never burned like that. Or perhaps it was the menthol from the Proraso that didn't mix well with the OS. Either way, the burning subsided with a little help from my TSD aftershave milk and I was good to go.
