Good day Monday
Muhle R89 with Derby blade
Simpson PJ2 super 2 band
Art of Shaving Sandalwood shave soap
J&J Purpose lotion
After a few dozen uses the PJ2 is turning into my favorite. The knot/loft size, feel of the bristles (getting a little softer now) and handle size/shape are as close to ideal as I've come across so far. It's a good piece of eye candy as well.

Seen this mentioned a couple of times this week. Would you mind posting up the list of ingredients if you have the packaging handy?close shave wrote: Herbissimo Mountain Juniper After Shave
I tried searching online for ingredients, but I could only find retail sales sites.
Thanks.

Omega #49
Arko stuck*
Barber Pole
Derby Extra
Thayer's a/s
Guerlain Vet
The Guerlain is derided by many longtime fragrance fanatics. I've never sniffed the old stuff, but I don't doubt that it's terrific. Had the new version been released under a different moniker, however, and not replaced a well-liked scent, I think most folks would be singing a different tune. This is a good fragrance.

Razor: Merkur Vision 2000
Blade: Gillette SharpEdge (Yellow)
Brush: Omega Boar
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
A/S: Lucido
EDT: Penhaligons Hammam Bouquet
The more I use the Vision 2000 the more I like it. Sure, it is a little awkward for under the nose but I am getting used to its bulk. I received a BBS (I mean really smooth) shave with no irritation and no nicks. This, do doubt, was partly due to the protective qualities of MWF which lathered easily with the Omega Boar Brush (maybe Zack was onto something with the whole boars do more crusade).
I received the Lucido aftershave (a Japanese brand) in a mystery box several months ago and finally got around to using it. The verdict? Great! It is very lightly scented with a nice menthol cooling effect. Because it is so lightly scented, I was able to use the Penhaligons EDT without fear of competing scents. Very nice!

Monday Shave
Monday, December 14, 2009
Razor: Merkur 23c
Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
Soap/Cream: Proraso cream
Aftershave: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel/Pinaud Clubman Bay Rum
The Proraso cream always provides an excellent shave for me, and this morning was no exception. And the WH/Pinaud Bay Rum was a fine finish--I enjoyed the warming effect of the finish following the cooling sensation of the Proraso.
