Omega 20106
Palmolive soap
Merkur "1904"
Dorco shave 5
DR Harris Pink

Palmolive chased with Harris Pink is oddly compelling, a very clean and masculine combination. No EDT today due to sinus issues.

These ST-301s are slightly more durable than Derbys for me. Shave #5 today, which included neck cleanup, and I detect no tugging. I've been tossing them after 5 shaves but I may push this one and see what happens.

Razor: Amboyna Burl Razor (Merkur Classic Head)
Blade: Gillette Yellow
Brush: Shavemac D01 Horn
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Irisch Moos Shave Stick
A/S: Pashana Aftershave

Another great shave. The Amboyna Burl razor with the Merkur Classic head has good heft and the perfect balance resulting in a wonderfully efficient shaver. The Irisch Moos produced its usually superior lather and I received an irritation free BBS shave. The Pashana aftershave fit my mood for the morning.

Razor: Progress XL
Blade: Super Iridium
Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
Cream: Proraso
Aftershave: Dickinson’s Witch Hazel, Proraso splash

A very fine shave this morning. I’m curious to see how many shaves I can get out of an Iridium. I was initially a little skeptical of this blade because it is 2+ times the cost of the Astra Superior Platinum, which has been my “go to” blade. However, the way things are looking, the Iridium may be only slightly more expensive per shave than the Astra (today was shave #8 on this particular blade). I continue to like the Astra a lot, but this Iridium was still feeling incredibly smooth after so many shaves (I usually impose a limit of 5 shaves from an Astra, even though I could probably get by with one or two more). As they say, “More research is needed.” Tomorrow will be shave #9 on another Iridium in another razor (Futur). Maybe I’ll hack my face up, but somehow I don’t think so. A more stringent test will come later--an Iridium in a Merkur 23c, a considerably lighter razor.

The WH/Proraso splash was a great finish.
